This is how the prize money is distributed among tennis players at Roland Garros 2017
The Parisian tournament has raised the prize money to 36 million euros, up from 32 last year. The winners will receive 2.1 million.

The 2017 edition of Roland Garros is already underway, and it’s time to review the prize money that participating players will share. The amounts distributed in 2016 were already generous, but the organization has continued to increase the prize money to 36 million euros, up from the 32 million they distributed last year.
Novak Djokovic and Garbiñe Muguruza, last year’s tournament winners, each took home a check for two million euros. This year’s winners will earn slightly more, since the prize is 2.1 million euros, versus the 1 million euros the finalist takes home, which last year was 900,000€. The prizes are similar in the men’s and women’s categories.
Players who reach the semifinals will receive 500,000€, there will be 300,000€ for quarterfinalists, 175,000€ for those who lose in the round of 16, 120,000€ for those who reach the third round, 60,000€ for those who make it to the second round, and 35,000€ for those eliminated in the first round.
In recent years all the grand slams have been increasing the amount distributed in prizes. This year the Australian Open distributed around 37 million US dollars, at Wimbledon more than 41 million dollars will be distributed, and at the US Open more than 46 million.
